Manchester United are about to embark on yet another revolution. Eighth in the last Premier League season, the Manchester club intends to return to the top of the national and continental scene. To do this, the Red Devils’ top brass intend to take advantage of the summer transfer window to offer Erik ten Hag, who is keeping his position, the most competitive squad possible. With this in mind, the Man United board has already made official the arrivals of Leny Yoro, unfortunately out for the next three months, and Joshua Zirkzee. While the latter will come to strengthen the Manchester attack, the former Bologna player is not yet physically ready and Rasmus Höjlund is injured. Enough to cause a few headaches for the Old Trafford residents.

In addition to the attacking sector, the Red Devils will also have to solve the midfield enigma. Despite the presence of Casemiro, Scott McTominay, Kobbie Mainoo, Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount, the Red Devils are now determined to strengthen their midfield. The English team quickly positioned itself on Manuel Ugarte (23 years old), who lacks playing time at Paris Saint-Germain. A file that is proving, however, complex, particularly in view of the Parisian demands, namely €60 million. An amount that has not failed to cool Manchester United, even if some British media outlets claim that the Uruguayan is still being followed.

The Red Devils have eight targets in their sights!

While waiting to know the verdict of this saga, the three-time Champions League winners are, at the same time, activating other less expensive options. The Correio da Manhã cited, in this regard, the name of Morten Hjulmand as a plan in the middle. But that’s not all. In the last few hours, Sky Sports indicated, in fact, that the Mancunian club was not letting go of Youssouf Fofana (25 years old). If we revealed to you at the end of July an interest from the Red Devils for the Monaco player, new discussions have taken place between the different parties. In competition with AC Milan, who have already offered €17 million this summer, Man United have not yet made a concrete proposal to the ASEM team, which is expecting at least €35 million.

Faced with this complexity, the Manchester management has, however, no intention of giving in. From then on, many other avenues are being explored. Richard Rios of Palmeiras and Martin Zubimendi of Real Sociedad are part of Manchester United’s short-list. In addition, the club founded in 1878 has also contacted Burnley for Sander Berge. A 26-year-old Norwegian midfielder, the latter stood out last season (2 goals and 2 assists in 40 matches) despite the Clarets’ relegation. Finally, Ten Hag has not ruled out calling on Sofyan Amrabat. Loaned by Fiorentina during the last season, the 27-year-old Moroccan could thus make his return to Old Trafford before the end of the summer transfer window. Linked to countless names, Manchester United will now have to decide… and time is running out.
