Trailing for two-thirds of the match against Torino on Saturday, AC Milan snatched a draw at the end of added time in the second half (2-2).
For its first Serie A match without Olivier Giroud, who left for Los Angeles FC this summer, AC Milan had a hard time avoiding defeat. Facing an efficient Torino, Mike Maignan’s Rossoneri ran behind the score for a good part of the match, before almost miraculously coming back in the final minutes (2-2, 1st day of Serie A).
Things started to go wrong for the home side when Malick Thiaw opened the scoring against his own goal after half an hour (0-1). Unable to get back into the game before the break, Paulo Fonseca’s men even conceded a second goal shortly after the hour mark on a goal from Duvan Zapata (0-2, 68th). With their backs to the wall, the Milanese continued to push and finally managed to break the opposing lock.

First in the eighty-ninth minute thanks to Alvaro Morata (1-2), then at the end of added time on an action of two players who came on at the end of the game, Yunus Musah provided the decisive pass to Noah Okafor for an unexpected equalizer (2-2, 90th+5). A draw which adds to that of the three other matches of the day, including that between Empoli and Monza which ended in a sad 0-0.
