We know a little more about the club that former OM striker Mario Balotelli is preparing to join.

Mario Balotelli’s transfer to Genoa is on track, but it is not yet completely finalized. The operation may fail.

The ex international azzurro has reached an agreement with Genoa, but the board of directors still has to approve the agreement. This situation is due to doubts regarding the future of coach Alberto Gilardino, who is the biggest supporter of Balotelli’s signing.

Gilardino wants Balotelli at all costs

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Balotelli and Genoa have an agreement in principle. And the player decided to go and meet the Rossoblu even though he had initially been approached by Torino.

If signed, he would receive a salary of around 250-300,000 euros until June 30, 2025, with bonuses linked to personal and collective performance. Low figures, but it’s not really a surprise given that the former OM player had disappeared from Italian radars for many years.
