‘The Notebook’ Sets December Broadway Closing

The Notebook, the stage musical based on the 1996 Nicholas Sparks novel and the 2004 film, will end its Broadway run on December 15 at the Schoenfeld Theatre, producers announced today.

When it closes, The Notebook will have played 35 previews and 317 regular performances since beginning previews on February 10 and opening on March 14.

A national tour is planned, launching September 2025 at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio. Additional cities will be announced at a later date.

Produced by Kevin McCollum and Kurt Deutsch, The Notebook features music and lyrics by Ingrid Michaelson and a Tbook by playwright Bekah Brunstetter. The production is directed by Michael Greif and Schele Williams, with choreography by Katie Spelman.
