Peacock’s The Office Universe expansion from creators and executive producers Gregg Daniels and Michael Koman has added four to its cast.

They include Gbemisola Ikumelo (Black Ops, A League Of Their Own), Alex Edelman (Just For Us, Unfrosted), Tim Key (The Witchfinder, This Time with Alan Partridge) and Eric Rahill (Friendship, The Bear). Ikumelo, Edelman and Key also serve as writers on the as-yet-untitled mockumentary set in the same universe as Daniels’ NBC hit The Office. Details regarding the characters are under wraps.

They join the previously announced Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Melvin Gregg, Chelsea Frei and Ramona Young.

In the new comedy series, the documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch is searching for a new subject when they discover a dying historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it with volunteer reporters.

Deadline exclusively revealed the secret project was in its early stages of development in January with Michael Koman joining Daniels as co-creator in March. A month later, they locked down their first two stars: Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore.

Also exec producing The Office offshoot are Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, Ben Silverman and Banijay Americas (form. Reveille), all auspices behind the original British series and/or the NBC version. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio.
