Actor Saif Ali Khan, who has been ruling the Race franchise, is returning for Race 4. Saif headlined the first and second parts; however, the third part featured Salman Khan and Bobby Deol. The latest report suggests that the OG player is back to the Race franchise as he will be starring in the fourth instalment. According to Pinkvilla, the source claimed, “Saif Ali Khan has been discussing Race 4 with Ramesh Taurani for a while now. The duo has finally agreed to reboot the franchise with Race 4.”
Saif Ali Khan to star in Race 4; shoot to begin soon
“The actor has agreed in principle and is excited to get into the world of Race again. Ramesh Taurani is aiming to take the film on floors in the first quarter of 2025,” revealed a source. Talking about the script, the report further said, “While the basic plot of Race 4 is locked, the team is presently working on the screenplay. Apart from Saif Ali Khan, a big ensemble will come on board and the casting is also underway. The makers are also looking to reboot it by getting in a fresh and credible voice to direct the film.”
Several filmmakers are now in talks to direct Race 4, whose tentative title is Race Reboot. “Race is a dear franchise and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to bring it back to the audience with the OG, Saif Ali Khan in lead,” the source concluded.
Meanwhile, Race and Race 2 are directed by Abbas–Mustan. The third film, Race 3 was a sequel directed by Remo D’Souza.
