The Outrunners earned a shot at the gold on AEW Dynamite.
On the February 26th episode of AEW Dynamite, The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum) faced The Murder Machines (Brian Cage and Lance Archer) in a Number One Contender’s Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. The two teams battled back and forth, and The Murder Machines were on the verge of victory when Archer went for The Blackout.
However, The Hurt Syndicate’s music hit, and Floyd capitalized by countering The Blackout into the pin for the win.

Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin of The Hurt Syndicate currently hold the AEW World Tag Team Championship. The broadcast team did not confirm when the title match would be.
