HBO on Saturday unveiled a new trailer for The Penguin, its DC series centered on Colin Farrell‘s Batman villain of the same name, which is slated to debut on Thursday, September 19 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT and will also be available to stream on Max.

Details as to The Penguin‘s plot have thus far been kept under wraps. Farrell leads the ensemble as Oz Cobb aka The Penguin, with others in the cast including Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, Rhenzy Feliz as Victor Aguilar, Michael Kelly as Johnny Viti, Shohreh Aghdashloo as Nadia Maroni, Deirdre O’Connell as Francis Cobb, Clancy Brown as Salvatore Maroni, James Madio as Milos Grapa, Scott Cohen as Luca Falcone, Michael Zegen as Alberto Falcone, Carmen Ejogo as Eve Karlo, and Theo Rossi as Dr. Julian Rush.

Hailing from Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios, the eight-episode limited series continues filmmaker Matt Reeves‘ crime saga that began with Warner Bros. Pictures’ global blockbuster The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson.

Developed by writer-showrunner Lauren LeFranc, the show’s EPs include Reeves, Dylan Clark, Farrell, LeFranc, Craig Zobel (who directs the first three episodes) and Bill Carraro. Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger, The Penguin is produced by Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros Television, where Reeves and 6th & Idaho are under an overall deal, and DC Studios. Daniel Pipski also serves as executive producer.
