Towards a new change in the rules of the transfer window? Beppe Marotta, the president of the Inter and member of the Italian football league, announced that several European leagues are in discussion to advance the fence of the transfer window in mid-August, before the launch of the championships. He explained on Sky Sport : ” Negotiation is engaged between the leagues so that the market is finished in mid-August. Some agree, others not. It is a negotiation, a confrontation, which will materialize in the coming days. We hope the market will end before the start of the next championship. »»
The president also said that the Spanish championship was still opposed to this proposal. As a reminder, this summer will already be marked by a change in the dates of the transfer market, due to the 2025 club World Cup (June 14 to July 13). A period of international transfer window will thus be established before the tournament so that the participating clubs can adjust their workforce.
