EXCLUSIVE: Megan Mullally and Seann William Scott will join the cast of The Righteous Gemstones in season 4 of the HBO comedy.
Mullally (Will & Grace) will guest star as Lori Milsap, a long-time friend of the Gemstone family who used to write music and sing with Aimee-Leigh. Scott (Shifting Gears) will play Corey Milsap, Lori’s son who has been a family friend of the Gemstone kids for his entire life.
In addition, Arden Myrin (The Threesome, Quarter) will play Jana Milsap, Corey’s wife. The comedy will return this year, but no premiere date has been announced.
The Righteous Gemstones tells the story of a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed, and charitable work. Despite constant bickering, Gemstone family ties run deep, and this season the family’s codependence is tested as they attempt to move forward without letting go of their storied past.
The cast includes Danny McBride as Jesse Gemstone, Adam Devine as Kelvin Gemstone, John Goodman as Eli Gemstone, Edi Patterson as Judy Gemstone, and Cassidy Freeman as Amber Gemstone. It also features Tim Baltz as BJ, Tony Cavalero as Keefe Chambers, Greg Alan Williams as Martin Imari, Skyler Gisondo as Gideon Gemstone, Walton Goggins as Baby Billy Freeman, Jennifer Nettles as Aimee-Leigh Gemstone, James DuMont as Chad, Jody Hill as Levi, Troy Anthony Hogan as Matthew, Valyn Hall as Tiffany Freeman, Kelton DuMont as Pontious Gemstone, and Gavin Munn as Abraham Gemstone.
