Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s name is known far and wide for being one of the biggest and most influential stars in the pro wrestling business. Therefore it comes as no surprise he appeared on SmackDown this week and essentially got the WrestleMania 40 main event spot. Now, he cut a promo on The Rock after SmackDown went off the air.

Cody Rhodes confronted Roman Reigns, expressing his desire for Reigns’ title outside of WrestleMania, despite Rollins’ convincing argument and stating that he won’t face Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

All of a sudden, The Rock’s music played, and he entered the ring. After shaking hands with Cody Rhodes, he engaged in tense staredown with Roman Reigns, concluding the show.

After the show went off the air, The Rock and Roman Reigns maintained their intense stare before Reigns exited the ring and headed backstage. The Rock then seized a microphone and addressed the crowd.

“Well, it’s become very clear and evident to The Rock that when you want to create something iconic, and when you want to create something magical, you come to the Magic City. This is a city deep in history, and ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I’m happy to tell you that tonight, all of us, tonight we made history here in Birmingham, Alabama. Birmingham, I thank you. I love you. If you smell what The Rock is cooking.”

We will have to wait and see whether The Rock will actually end up facing off against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 since the general consensus is that it’s a really bad idea right now.
