The Rock makes his first comments about WWE since the Vince McMahon lawsuit came to light.

On January 23, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson joined the TKO Board of Directors. Two days later, Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE, in which she engaged that McMahon and Laurinaitis engaged in sexual assault and sex trafficking of her. A spokesperson for McMahon said the lawsuit was “replete with lies”. McMahon then resigned from TKO on January 26.

In a tweet, The Rock commented on joining the TKO Board of Directors and stated that he was honored. He noted that it marked a historic day with deep and personal “life comes full circle” significance for him. The Rock wrote that he had the privilege to sit at the table that his father and grandfather helped to build, and it was time to go to work. The Rock also thanked everyone for their support.

Additionally, The Rock thanked his WWE and TKO partners. He named Ari Emanuel, Mark Shapiro, Nick Khan, and Triple H. He did not mention Vince McMahon in the post. Additionally, McMahon was not shown in a video included in the post, in which The Rock joined Emanuel, Khan, and others for an appearance at the New York Stock Exchange.
