The Rock is thrilled to work with Chris Evans in his upcoming movie.

This holiday season, The Rock is teaming up with the Captain America star for their new film, Red One. The movie sees the former WWE Champion as Santa’s head of security, teaming up with Evans to save Father Christmas after being kidnapped in the run-up to Christmas.

To promote the movie, The Rock appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy Fallon asked The Rock if he played “the security guard, the security elf”, and he joked that the host was minimizing his role in the movie.

“So he would be the equivalent of the head of the CIA for Santa. Head of the E.L.F. And so, for the first time ever, there are more people on the naughty list than on the nice list—maybe in real life too! Then Santa gets kidnapped, and we have to go rescue him and save Christmas.

The Rock loves the message behind Red One

“It’s fun, it’s family-friendly, it’s that kind of film. But personally, I just… we have great chemistry with Chris Evans, right? He’s a funny dude. We always thought we would, and then it came true when we worked together.

“But what I love is the message. The world is crazy; there’s a lot of noise out there, a lot of shaming, blaming, and judging. But there’s also a lot of good out there. We’ve got to choose to see the good stuff, not only see it but focus on it. And there’s a great quote from Santa—played by J.K. Simmons in the movie—when he says to me, ‘Hey, look, it’s our job to see the inner child not only in ourselves, but, more importantly, the inner child in everybody else.'”

Red One is in theatres now.
