This past Saturday Night at the Elimination Chamber PLE, John Cena shocked the world when he aligned himself with the Final Boss The Rock, and turned on Cody Rhodes. Another person who aligned with the Great One and Cena was hip hop star Travis Scott.
While speaking at the post-show Press Conference, The Rock shared that the WWE Universe could see Travis Scott potentially aligning with him and John Cena.
“Yes [you can see Travis Scott potentially team up with The Rock and John Cena]. Yes. It is why we are doing it. Absolutely. It’s a great question. Long gaming. So, look, I love Travis. That’s my guy. But I feel like Travis loves the business, he loves pro wrestling and he’s a culture guy. Travis Scott is one of the greatest already, of all time. He’s the G.O.A.T, he’s a legend, he’s an icon, he loves the business.
“So, we get guys and girls like that who want to come in and who are already tapping into culture, disrupting culture in their own cool way. They want to come in, they want to have fun at the show, maybe they want to sit, maybe they want to enjoy, maybe they want to be on camera. ‘We are here, we are supporting.’ But then some, want to get involved. And then some, like Travis, deeply want to get involved.”
The Rock is open to forming an alliance with Travis Scott
“And that’s what you saw tonight, was this, ‘Oh we have this opportunity to create this big moment in pro wrestling that is arguably one of the biggest, maybe the biggest. Some fan’s words, not mine tonight. And we also have an opportunity I think to bring Travis Scott into as well. And to form a union, an alliance with the Final Boss and Travis Scott.”
The Rock also mentioned that Scott wanted to get his hand bloody.
“And, he wanted to get in a way, to steal a term, he wanted to get his hands bloody and… I whispered to him as he was going out. I said, ‘If you get your hands bloody, make it count. Make it count.’ He slapped the s*** out of Cody tonight. He slapped the **** out of Cody. And he was really really hyped up. I mean it was really amazing. When Travis landed by the way, we went in, we had some words. We just chopped up what the night is going to look like. I got a contact high for like three hours. It’s like crazy. And I loved it. I need Travis every time I do an appearance. Travis, smoke with Teramana, it’s game over,” The Rock said.
The Rock: Professional wrestling has had its place in culture
“Where we have expanded to I think in the WWE… I feel like professional wrestling has always found its unique place and culture throughout the decades. I grew up in the business. Right? We remember Rockin Wrestling, Cindy Lauper, Hulk Hogan. We then remember the Attitude Era etc. right? I feel there is… Professional wrestling has had its place in culture for some time. And I think we are tapping in to a unique time now. I am not quite too sure what we going to name this era, we all will figure it out. Someone will come up with something cool, I’ll say it out loud and take credit for it,” The Rock said.
