WWE Bad Blood 2024 was a massive night for the company, and Atlanta’s State Farm Arena played host to the historic event. After the card already blew the roof off the building, the final match of the night did not disappoint.

The main event match has a ton of history behind it, as Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 40. Following this, Reigns took an extended hiatus, allowing Solo Sikoa to assume leadership of The Bloodline, removing Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman while adding Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu to the group. Sikoa began calling himself the new Tribal Chief, which led to a rivalry with Rhodes.

At SummerSlam 2024, Cody Rhodes faced Sikoa in another Bloodline Rules match, successfully retaining his title despite interference from a returning Roman Reigns. Although Solo Sikoa got another title match from Cody, he did not win and it eventually set up the match we saw in Atlanta. The match was also the main event of the entire night, with a huge return rumored.

The match began with Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu, but it didn’t take long for Solo to tag in, followed by Roman. Solo and Roman clashed, with Sikoa gaining the upper hand as he sold in the corner for a hip attack. Jacob Fatu then received the tag and delivered a hip attack as well. The taunting of the Original Tribal Chief continued as they inflicted damage on the former Shield member.

Cody Rhodes soon took a hot tag and rallied against Jacob Fatu to regain control. The American Nightmare executed a Bionic Elbow, reminiscent of his father, followed by a Cody Cutter. However, Jacob managed to escape a Crossroads attempt, regaining the upper hand.

At this point, Cody endured significant punishment, and there were several teases for a tag with Roman Reigns. Finally, the Original Tribal Chief got the tag, with Solo Sikoa as the legal man. Reigns rallied against Solo, landing several shots that energized the Atlanta crowd. However, Solo dodged a Superman Punch, only to take one later for a near fall.

Jacob Fatu struck Reigns when he wasn’t looking, leading to a double superkick and two top rope splashes from each Bloodline member. Cody Rhodes intervened just in time to prevent the match from ending. He cleared off the announce table and sent Fatu crashing through the barricade after sidestepping him. Fatu became enraged, throwing metal folding chairs into the ring. Cody then hit a Crossroads at ringside, but Fatu managed to get back to his feet. Ultimately, Cody laid Fatu on the announce table, went back into the ring, and executed a splash off the top rope through the table.

In the ring, Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa battled, and just as Reigns prepared to deliver a spear, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa distracted him, allowing Solo to regain control. Suddenly, Solo noticed someone in a hoodie and bandana covering his face. He took out the Tangans, revealing it to be Jimmy Uso.

Roman then hit a spear, prompting a huge reaction from the fans. Jimmy Uso entered the ring afterward, looking focused on his brother, Solo Sikoa. With the original Bloodline member back, the future of the stable’s long-standing saga remains to be seen.

After the match, Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso hugged it out in the middle of the ring. Bad Blood 2024 was about to go off the air with the two hugging and celebrating in Atlanta. They shared a moment in the ring with Cody Rhodes. Then suddenly, The Rock’s music hit.

The Final Boss made his way out, complete with his People’s Championship around his shoulder. He stood there as his music hit, and he looked on at Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and Jimmy Uso in the ring.

The Rock didn’t say anything, but he did give them a long look. Then he simply turned and walked away to close out the show.
