The March 1st, 2024 episode of Friday Night Smackdown kicked off in the perfect way. Roman Reigns along with the Bloodline came out to let Arizona acknowledge him. However, when the crowd couldn’t stop chanting ‘Cody’, Reigns asked Heyman to wrap up their appearance and get back.

However, the Wiseman stopped Reigns when the Rock made his appearance. In yet another exciting and intriguing segment, the Rock kept building his character as the ultimate heel addressing Cody Rhodes’ challenge for a singles match before WrestleMania.

However, after rejecting Rhodes’ challenge, The Rock made a challenge of his own. The Brahma Bull pitched tag team match featuring Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins against Roman Reigns and himself for Night One of WrestleMania 40. However, his challenge has a lot of implications on the main event of WrestleMania between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.

Though millions around the world enjoyed the segment, WWE seemingly didn’t plan it to go that long. As per a report from Fightful Select, unlike regular days when Michael Hayes produces Roman Reigns’ segments, Jason Jordan was chosen as the producer of this segment. However, similar to numerous other segments involving the Brahma Bull, WWE had to make adjustments to the show after the segment went longer than expected.

“The Rock and Bloodline took up a huge portion of WWE Smackdown on March 1, but it wasn’t produced by the usual suspect. Michael Hayes is usually in charge of producing of Roman Reigns segments, Bloodline connected segments, and even many segments in which people set to feud with Bloodline were in. However, he wasn’t listed as a producer on Friday’s run sheet. Instead, lead producer Jason Jordan was listed as the producer for both segments. As one would expect, The Rock’s segment went huge over time, which caused some immediate adjustments to follow.”

Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins are set to feature on next week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown and have been given an ultimatum to answer to the Rock’s challenge by then. However, the Great One has also added that if Rhodes and Rollins rejected his proposal, he would do anything in his power to help Reigns win his match in the main event.
