The hottest storyline in the WWE currently is seemingly heading into WrestleMania 40 with multiple matches. Since The Rock’s return on Smackdown a few weeks ago, the excitement for his storyline alongside Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes has been out of the park.

While Rhodes wants to face the Tribal Chief for the Undisputed WWE Champion, The Rock is adamant on giving the WWE Universe the biggest main event in WrestleMania history. However, with the main event already confirmed between Reigns and Rhodes, The Rock has challenged Cody Rhodes and his friend Seth Rollins for tag team match on Night One

Before making an official challenge last week on Smackdown, the Brahma Bull posted 21-minute long video on his socials taking a dig at Rhodes, Rollins, and even the American Nightmare’s dog Pharoah. While he continued his insults on the blue brand as well, the WWE Universe has been wondering the reason he released a video on social media rather than doing it live on TV.

Dave Meltzer, in a recent episode on Wrestling Observer Radio, has stated that even though the Great One is a member of the board, he cannot be given a lot of time from a two-hour show. However, to intensify the rivalry, the things he said were clearly needed. This was the reason the Hollywood star released a video on his social media handles.

“So I woke up on Friday morning and I’d seen messages that he did this promo because they weren’t gonna give them enough time on SmackDown. I said, That’s ridiculous! Rock can get as much time as he wants. I mean, who’s gonna say, ‘Hey, you know, we’d rather run a five-minute Austin Theory match, or we can let Rock be on for five more minutes and all that?’ So I checked with somebody who I know was over there, pretty high up. I said there’s a story going around; I know it’s bullsh*t, and they go it ain’t bullsh*t because he can’t get as much time as he wants. This isn’t working this way.”

Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes are set to address The Rock’s tag team match challenge next week on Friday Night Smackdown. With massive implications added to the result of the match, it would be interesting to see how things play out for them in the next few weeks.
