The Rock discusses returning to WWE.
The Rock made a one-off return to WWE in September 2023. He then appeared at WWE RAW Day 1, and he became a key part of the road to WrestleMania 39. He returned to the ring at WrestleMania 40, and he also appeared on the RAW after WrestleMania. The Rock was absent for a few months, but he briefly appeared at the end of WWE Bad Blood.
Speaking with Jess Battison for LADbible, The Rock made it clear that he will always “happily” return to WWE, as he noted that he felt like it’s in his blood. He also commented on becoming a member of the board of directors for TKO Group Holdings.
“I came along in the 90s and wrestled for Vince into the 2000s, so there’s some real connective tissue that goes back generations,” The Rock said. “And for that I will forever be grateful, because it provided me a platform and a way to express myself in ways that nothing else would allow, other than acting.
“So the opportunity for me to become a director, sit on the board, take that position, is just another way that I could help the company grow.”

The Rock also noted that he always goes back to WWE when he has the chance to help them grow.
“Any opportunity I can to go back and not only make appearances, but help to expand the company, whether domestically or globally, I always go back,” he said. “And it’s also part of my obligation that I happily do.”
As of this writing, there is no word on when The Rock will appear again on WWE programming.
