The secrets of the next selection of the Blues

This Thursday marks the selection of Didier Deschamps for the friendly meetings on March 23 and 26 against Germany and Chile.

Apart from two preparation matches which will be played at the beginning of June in Metz and Bordeaux – against opponents yet to be determined – the Blues are attacking the home stretch before the Euro in March, with two friendly matches against Germany, on the 23rd in Lyon, then against Chile three later in Marseille.

To do this, Didier Deschamps will convene his group this Thursday, March 14, via a list which will look like the ultimate selection for the big summer deadline. And according to the information distilled this Sunday by Téléfoot, a number of certainties already reside in the boss of the France team.

Barcola’s luck

The young Parisian Warren Zaire-Emery will a priori be in the game, like the Marseille full-back Jonathan Clauss, and Aurélien Tchouaméni who missed the last French meeting of the year 2023. Same thing for Antoine Griezmann who did not not yet replayed with Atlético, on the sidelines for three weeks, but who should be reinstated for this international break.

Kingsley Coman forfeits, it’s Bradley Barcola who holds the rope to strengthen the Blues’ offensive with his sidekicks Ousmane Dembélé, Randal Kolo Muani and Kylian Mbappé. Note the great uncertainty which hangs over the presence of Adrien Rabiot, a permanent fixture of the national coach who is suffering from a toe and could well throw in the towel for this gathering.
