EXCLUSIVE: A new face is coming to Essex College. Nabeel Muscatwalla (Good Trouble) is set for a recurring role in Season 3 of Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble‘s The Sex Lives of College Girls.

Created by Kaling and Noble, Max‘s The Sex Lives of College Girls follows four college roommates in their first year at New England’s prestigious Essex College. Season 2 picked up with the students returning after their fall break, tackling the challenges that were thrown their way at the end of Season 1, while also facing their next semester filled with new faces, parties and predicaments.

Muscatwalla will play Arvind, a student studying at Essex College.

Returning series regulars for Season 3 are Pauline Chalamet, lyah Chanelle Scott, Amrit Kaur, Christopher Meyer, Ilia Paulino and Renika Williams. As we previously reported, Reneé Rapp has exited the series as a regular for the upcoming season. She’ll appear in a handful of episodes, we understand, and will depart after those episodes.

The series is executive produced by Kaling, Noble, who serves as showrunner, and Howard Klein. Kaling International and 3 Arts Entertainment produce in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Muscatwalla previously recurred on Freeform’s Good Trouble and also was cast as a series regular in the CBS pilot Jury Duty. Before that, he was a standout cast member of the 2020 CBS Sketch Comedy Showcase. While at Northwestern University, he wrote, co-directed, and starred in the web series Better Days, which was an official selection of the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival (Tribeca N.O.W.) and Hollyweb Festival. He performs monthly with the UCB Maude team Hail Mary, every other week with Mess Hall team Lobster, and once a month, he co-hosts the pop culture podcast Toast The Town. Muscatwalla is represented by CAA and Artists First.
