What Happens When the Round Table Vote is Tied?

There has never been a tie vote at the Round Table on The Traitors until now, so let’s fill you in on what happens next.

Peacock is airing the U.S. version of the international franchise, which begins with more than 20 celebrity contestants playing a game in which four of them are “traitors,” whose goal is to eliminate the “faithful” and claim the cash prize for themselves. The traitors get to murder someone each night and the faithful then choose one contestant to banish each week, hoping they choose correctly and get the traitors out of the game.

In the third season’s 10th episode, six contestants remain and a tie vote occurred at the round table.

Gabby Windey, Dylan Efron, and Lord Ivar Mountbatten all voted for Danielle to be banished while Danielle Reyes, Britney Haynes, and Dolores Catania all voted for Ivar to be banished.

So, what happens when there’s a tie vote on The Traitors?

First, a second vote happens, but the people who have received votes are not allowed to vote.

If there is still a tie after the second vote, the person who is banished will be chosen by chance. It hasn’t been revealed how the chance situation is determined.

In this case, Gabby and Dylan both chose to vote for Danielle in round two. Dolores kept her vote for Ivar in round two, but the episode ended on a cliffhanger and didn’t show us Britney‘s vote. If she keeps her vote the same, the decision will come down to chance.
