The Undertaker wants Gunther to add more “chicken shit” into his repertoire.
The Ring General has been on a tear since debuting on the main roster in 2022. He has had a record-breaking Intercontinental title reign, before beating Damian Priest to become the World Heavyweight Champion for the first time.
His matches have been equally impressive. Bouts against stars like Drew McIntyre, Sheamus and Randy Orton have been incredible, but The Undertaker wants to see some changes from the Austrian Superstar.
The Undertaker spoke about Gunther on the latest episode of the Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway (H/T to Post Wrestling for the transcription).
He started by clarifying that he likes Gunther, seeing him as a “throwback to a different era”. However, he wants him to add more “chicken shit to his repertoire”, or else he risks having the fans turn him face.
“I like him (GUNTHER). I think he’s kind of a throwback to a different era. As painful as those chops look… you think he’s beating you down and which he is without doing a bunch of aerial attacks.”
“It’s nice to see somebody grind somebody down and yeah, I think he’s gonna have to be careful… he needs to add a little more, I think, chicken sh*t to his repertoire or he’s gonna become a babyface much sooner than he expects. That’s just the way it is now.”
The Undertaker: Crown Jewel 2018 Match Went Off The Rails
The Undertaker revealed that everyone was pissed about the Brothers of Destruction vs DX match from Crown Jewel 2018.
He spoke about the match on the Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway podcast (H/T to Post Wrestling for the transcription).
He spoke about the match, revealing all the things that went wrong, and how he was filming his “Last Ride” documentary when this match was going on.
“So, well one, we’re all pissed (after the match). Everybody’s pissed. Shawn is pissed because he came out of retirement. Paul’s pissed he tore his — because he had a WrestleMania match that year and he tears his pec. Glenn (Jacobs) loses his mask, I lose my pride.”
“I’m already filming Last Ride. It’s going to be part of the documentary and I remember them coming at me, because I had to go sit by myself for a minute to process what we had just done or didn’t do and they’re coming up to me to get my thoughts on it, right? And I’m just like, ‘No. Just leave me alone. I need a minute. Just leave me alone.’ I don’t think we ever got an interview. But yeah, it was awful. Everybody was apologizing for everybody else and it was just a complete disaster and trainwreck.”
