Vanderpump Rules is moving into a new direction for Season 12 and completely rebooting with a new cast.
Although the OG stars of Bravo‘s reality series will not continue with the show, Deadline hears some of them will be featured in The Valley Season 2.
The Valley is a Vanderpump Rules spinoff that premiered in March 2024 and follows the lives of former SURvers like Brittany Cartwright, Jax Taylor, and Kristen Doute.
Filming for the spinoff’s second season has been completed, and Vanderpump Rules alum Lala Kent, Scheana Shay, Brock Davies, and Tom Schwartz filmed for the new season. The extent of their appearances remains to be seen.
Although Bravo has decided to revamp Vanderpump Rules with a new cast, we hear that the door is not closed on the OG cast, and anything is possible for them in the Bravoverse—including the show that made them famous.
The Vanderpump Rules reboot comes months after Bravo hit pause on filming for the show over the summer after 11 years. After “Scandoval,” the cheating scandal that rocked the show, the cast was fragmented and seemingly complicated filming as the lines were drawn between Team Ariana Madix and Team Tom Sandoval.
Despite being cheated on by her boyfriend of many years with her close friend Rachel Leviss, which was happening as Season 10 filmed, Madix gave Bravo another season, including being in Sandoval’s presence. Lala Kent and Scheana Shay tried to play in the middle, asking Madix to support them in rekindling their friendship with Sandoval. Kent and Shay were not shy about openly saying they feared for the show’s future as their motive to try and remain a friend group.
Since the scandal broke, Madix has had a successful career in media away from Vanderpump Rules, starring in Chicago on Broadway, participating in Dancing with the Stars, and hosting the breakout season of Peacok’s Love Island USA.
Sandoval was cast in Peacock’s The Traitors Season 3, set to premiere in January 2025.
