“I came here to look for Daryl. I have come a very long way,” Carol (Melissa McBride) announces in this new teaser for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol. But it’s not going to be easy; not only does the clip also hint it’ll be a “fight to reunite” for the zombie-killing besties, new posters for the AMC show come bearing the tagline “even heroes need saving.”
Here’s what AMC has to say about season two of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, now with The Book of Carol enhancing its title: “The new season picks up where The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon left off, following fan-favorite characters Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride). They both confront old demons while she fights to find her friend and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest. Additionally, Genet’s (Anne Charrier) movement builds momentum, setting Pouvoir on a violent collision course with the Union of Hope in the fight for France’s future.”

© AMCFrom the looks of it, these two might not meet again until well into the season—but Daryl Dixon season two could also go the route of Rick-Michonne spin-off The Ones Who Live, and show the main characters finding each other at the start, then filling in their respective journeys through flashbacks. The trailer promises plenty of gritty, grimy, post-apocalyptic European action, and that’s all that really matters, isn’t it? The rest of the cast includes Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Charrier, Romain Levi, Eriq Ebouaney, and Joel de la Fuente
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol premieres Sunday, September 29 at 9:00 pm ET/PT on AMC and AMC+.
