The war continues between PSG and Kylian Mbappé

Sharp and smiling, this is the first image that Real Madrid fans had of Kylian Mbappé. Happy to play for the club of his dreams, the Frenchman, who has already played two games with the Merengues, has embarked on a new adventure after seven years at Paris Saint-Germain. A club where he has experienced ups and downs, and whose relationship with the management has gradually deteriorated. A year ago, the Bondynois was sent to the Parisian loft after announcing that he would not exercise the option allowing him to extend his lease until 2025. Annoyed, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi had toughened his tone with the captain of the Blues.

But things eventually settled down after the intervention of the Luis Enrique-Luis Campos duo. Mbappé therefore lived his last season in the PSG jersey before saying his goodbyes via a video published on his Instagram account. The former Monaco player took the opportunity to thank everyone, or almost. Indeed, he had not had a word for NAK. Which proved once again that their relationship was no longer the same at all. Having left for Madrid after a very complicated Euro 2024, Mbappé is not finished with PSG. It is no secret that he is demanding a certain sum of money from his former employer. In June, The Team mentioned an amount of 100 million euros, which corresponds to unpaid salaries from May and June as well as several unpaid bonuses.

Mbappé does not give up

The sports daily had also specified that the Mbappé clan had decided to put the Parisian club on formal notice. A few months later, the situation is more or less still the same. The World explains that the 25-year-old player contacted the LFP legal committee on 8 August. The footballer, via his lawyers, also notified the French Football Federation so that it would inform UEFA, in order to recover what is owed to him. We are not talking about 100 million euros, but 55 million euros according to the French media. This corresponds to 1/3 of his signing bonus, or 36 million euros gross, as well as his salary and an ethics bonus for his last three months with the Parc des Princes residents.

But PSG, which could be sanctioned if the Frenchman is found to be right, remains firm and solid on its support. The club assures that it did not pay this money because Kylian Mbappé had committed not to claim the various bonuses if he ever left Paris free in 2024. Which is the case. The World explains that the Parisians are visibly quite calm about this matter. If the situation continues, the Real Madrid player could appeal to the industrial tribunal to settle this dispute between him and PSG. The standoff therefore continues between the French champions and Kylian Mbappé.
