The War Raiders have had an emotional time since returning from injury.
Both Erik and Ivar recently suffered injuries that threatened their careers. However, the War Raiders managed to recover and win the WWE Tag Team Championships upon their return.
The War Raiders spoke with Denise Salcedo, where they were asked about their return to the ring and their title victory. Ivar spoke first, explaining that The War Raiders have been very emotional since returning from injury and winning the WWE Tag Team Championships.
“You say it, and I get goosebumps. Goosebumps because, like you said, it’s been a long road for both of us. There were times we didn’t know if I was going to wrestle again, if I was even going to walk again. We didn’t know if Eric was going to be able to wrestle again, if he was going to be able to hold his children.”
“It’s been a very emotional, trying time for the two of us. To come back and, in quite a short period of time, capture the World Tag Team Championships—and now to be here tonight, on this huge stage—Netflix RAW, live on Netflix, the debut, the premiere. Man, it’s hard to describe, but it means the world to us.”
The War Raiders were then asked about their plans going forward, and Erik perked up. He admitted that they had no secret plans and were just planning on aggression and violence against their WWE opponents.
“There are no secrets to the War Raiders. We’re straight ahead—you see what you get. It’s aggression, it’s athleticism, it’s violence. We are who we are. We’re the same dominant team coming straight at you.”
“There are no secret plans, no hiding, no pretending to be something we’re not. Stop us if you can.” Erik of the War Raiders said.
