The organisers of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), on Wednesday, announced the nominees for the 20th edition of the continental awards ceremony.

The 2024 Awards will feature 26 categories, including that of the Best Nigerian Film, where top movies like Weekend, This is Lagos, Afamefuna, Out of Breath and Jagun Jagun have been nominated.

According to the organizers, the 20th edition, themed ‘Celebrating African Creativity,’ will partner with the Lagos government.

The award ceremony will be held on November 2 at the Balmoral Hall, Sheraton, Ikeja, Lagos.
