The Wild Robot is continuing to wow audiences in theaters and now the director has confirmed that a sequel is in the works. Heading into its third weekend at the box office, the animated film is expected to come in second place again for the weekend. It has already grossed more than $74 million at the domestic box office after just 15 days in theaters and over $111 million worldwide. Director Chris Sanders confirmed the sequel plans during a discussion at Deadline Contenders in London on Saturday (October 12).
