The Young Bucks have shared what inspired their attire for AEW All In.
At the event in Wembley Stadium, the AEW Tag Team Champions defended their belts against two top teams. They fought off both FTR and the Acclaimed to retain the titles in just their second title defence in over 100 days as champion.
This was despite The Acclaimed getting a little help from their friend, Billy Gunn, during the bout.
However, it was not the match that was the most talked about part of their weekend. The Young Bucks had another impressive costume for Wembley Stadium, following last year’s Freddie Mercury-inspired outfits.
This year, the Young Bucks wore classic British military jackets, albeit much more colorful than you would expect. It continued getting better, as they paired them with round sunglasses. It also included an entrance video filled with colorful flowers filling the screen.
While many may have guessed where Nicholas and Matthew Jackson got their inspiration from, a Twitter post from the pair made it clear.
The Young Bucks posted a photo of themselves to Twitter, showing them side by side with Paul McCartney and John Lennon. It showed the wrestlers before AEW All In, wearing almost identical jackets to the Beatles pair. They were inspired by The Beatles outfits, worn on the 1967 album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
The outfits have become iconic, and instantly recognizable worldwide. The round glasses, worn by Matthew Jackson, are similar to the style made famous by John Lennon, completing the look.
It must have been a good day in the life of the pair, as they retained their belts while paying tribute to one of the most popular bands of all time.
