IMG Credit: WWEThey helped. We are about a week removed from WrestleMania 40 and one of the big stories involved the Rock getting back in the ring after several years away. That is a hard thing to do after so long out of the ring and it took quite a bit of effort for Rock to get back to where he needed to be. That took some help and now we know who helped Rock get back in the ring.

According to Fightful Select, a group of wrestlers helped the Rock train for his return to the ring. This included Carmelo Hayes, Robert Roode and Gallus, with WWE being happy with how their assistance went. The Rock teamed with Roman Reigns to defeat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on Night One. He has since gone on hiatus from WWE again and it is not clear when he will be returning to the ring.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that gets overlooked in wrestling as there are all kinds of talented veterans who can help get someone better in the ring. The Rock more than knows how to hold his own in the ring but he’s been away for so long that he definitely needed some help. WWE seemed to get it right, as Rock looked rather good with what he was doing in the ring.
