Appointed Juventus coach at the start of the summer, Thiago Motta has decided to part ways with many of the players still at the club.

Third in the last Italian championship behind the untouchable Inter and its runner-up, AC Milan, Juventus has decided to make its revolution. With Massimiliano Allegri dismissed, Thiago Motta was chosen to replace him on the Turin bench. And the former PSG player quickly started working to try to breathe new life into his team. After several arrivals, there should be many departures.

At least that’s what he explained Sky Italy Saturday, since the Italian media reported Thiago Motta’s desire to part ways with at least eight players from the current squad. And there are not only second-rate names on the blacklist drawn up by the coach. Federico Chiesa is one of the players invited to find a way out, as he does not fit into Motta’s plans. The same goes for defender Tiago Djalo and veteran Wojciech Szczęsny.

Lots of movement

Other names mentioned are Artur Melo, Filip Kostic, Daniel Rugani, Mattia De Sciglio and Hans Nicolussi-Caviglia. Enough to free up some payroll for a club that has also recruited Khephren Thuram, Douglas Luiz, Michele Di Gregorio and Juan David Cabal. Juventus and Thiago Motta have been giving themselves a major facelift for several weeks.

While waiting for the resumption of the championship with a first match scheduled for August 19 against Como, the Old lady continues its preparation. On Saturday evening, it conceded a draw against Brest (2-2), with goals from Dusan Vlahovic and Danilo.
