Alessandro Canovi, agent of Thiago Motta, breaks the silence on the future of the Bologna coach.

Under the leadership of Thiago Motta, Bologna is having a superb season. Fifth in Serie A after 25 days (12 wins, 9 draws, 4 defeats and 45 points on the clock), the Rossoblù are in the running for qualification in the Europa League, or even the Champions League.

A success which does not surprise Motta’s agent, Alessandro Canovi: “ In August I bet on Bologna in Europe. Pecini (sports director of La Spezia when Motta was coach, editor’s note) is an excellent recruiter but has little understanding of coaches: at Spezia, he tried several times to sack Thiago“, he said in comments relayed by Nicolo Schira on Twitter.

PSG is not alone

As for the future of his client, Canovi is clear: “ If a call from a big club came, it would be difficult to refuse. » Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan and Juventus Turin are all cited as potential destinations for the former Parisian.

The Italian’s agent also highlights the close relationship that Motta maintains with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, now an advisor to the management of the Rossonero club. »His relationship with Ibrahimovic? In Paris they became real friends, there is great respect between them, they look alike,” he added.

So where will Thiago Motta go? The future will tell.
