It was in the pipeline and it is now confirmed and official. This Thursday, on its official website, the Bologna club announced the departure of its Italian coach Thiago Motta.

The Paris Saint-Germain legend had an exceptional season with the Italian club, qualifying them for the next edition of the Champions League. Before entering the last day of the championship, his team is in 3rd place behind Inter Milan and AC Milan.

“This morning Thiago Motta informed the club of his intention not to renew his contract with Bologna FC 1909. Having taken note of the decision, the club thanks the coach for the extraordinary work accomplished and wishes him good luck for the continuation of his career, » the club said in an official statement this Thursday.

An arrival at Juventus getting closer and closer

Thiago Motta will therefore no longer be the coach of Bologna in a few days. The Italian coach will leave the club in the best possible way with qualification for the next Champions League at stake.

The former Inter Milan midfielder should subsequently join Juventus unless there is a big surprise. According to the latest reports, an agreement is more than close with the leaders of the Old Lady.
