Arsenal legend Thierry Henry admits he would love to see Harry Kane win a trophy at Bayern Munich.

Tottenham's all-time leading goalscorer Kane left north London without any major silverware despite scoring a club-record 280 competitive goals over a 19-year spell.

His new side, Bayern Munich, have won the Bundesliga every season for the last 11 years, and many assumed Kane's £82million move would bring a certain end to his career-long trophy drought.

But more than halfway through the 2023/24 campaign, it does not look so clear cut.

Despite the England captain's record-breaking start to life in Germany, scoring 28 goals in 27 games, Bayern find themselves two points behind an unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen ahead of a potential title-decider on Saturday.

Henry - who won two Premier League titles with Arsenal, including one at White Hart Lane - is often the first to celebrate Tottenham's pain.

But even the iconic Frenchman believes Spurs legend Kane deserves a trophy to show for his prolific career as one of the world's best strikers.

Speaking to talkSPORT in Las Vegas ahead of the Super Bowl, Henry said: "I want Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal to do well. After that, it would be great for the big man [Kane] to somehow grab a trophy.

"We all know that's what he's been chasing for a long time. So we'll see if he can do it at Bayern Munich, that would be great for him.

"Having said that, Bayer Leverkusen look like they're not slowing down. But hopefully he can do it.

"We always talk about Kane and how great he is - and he is great - it will be a shame if he leaves the game without something under his belt other than goals.

"I'm not saying it's easy to score goals, don't get me wrong. But he's such a great player and such a complete No.9 or No.10, whichever way you want to put it, because he comes into midfield and his passing is just magnificent.

"You would like the man to win something because he deserves it. At the end, you always get what you deserve, right?

"But I think a guy like him, the way he is on and off the field, you want him to win something."
