Four months before the Olympic Games tournament, Thierry Henry’s France Espoirs team will challenge the Ivory Coast and the United States in a friendly on March 22 and 25.

The France Espoirs team continues its tour of France. After Nancy, Grenoble and Le Havre last fall, the team led by Thierry Henry will host the Ivory Coast and the United States in friendly matches, on March 22 in Châteauroux (at the Stade Gaston-Petit) and on March 25 in Sochaux (in Bonal).

The opportunity for “Titi” to reunite with the Americans, he who finished his career at the New York Red Bulls and who managed the Montreal Impact in MLS, from 2019 to 2021. Team USA is one of the two North American qualifiers ( with the Dominican Republic) at the football tournament of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (July 24-August 10). Which is not the case for the Elephants (Morocco, Egypt and Mali are the African representatives).

With Mbappé or not?

The Bleuets will form the French team during the Olympics. Guillaume Restes, Leny Yoro, captain Warren Zaire-Emery, Rayan Cherki or Bradley Barcola could then be accompanied by Kylian Mbappé… As a reminder, the Olympic teams will be able to call up to three players over 23 years old during this competition organized in all of France.

The French U23s will play their first match at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, the second at the Allianz Arena in Nice then the third again at OM.
