Donald Trump again referred to CNN anchor Anderson Cooper as “Allison,” reviving a past reference to the openly gay personality.

Trump misidentified Cooper at a rally and on social media today, as the Republican presidential candidate was talking about the CNN anchors town hall with Kamala Harris earlier this week.

Trump had used the same reference to Cooper before, and the CNN anchor addressed it briefly as he was pushing back on the former president’s claim that he had manipulated what writer E. Jean Carroll would say during a 2019 interview. Carroll won a court judgment against Trump that found him liable for sexually abusing her in 1996, and she was awarded more than $88 million in damages. Trump is appealing both cases.

“He recently referred to me with a female first name, which I guess is like a third-grade gay taunt,” Cooper said in September, before debunking Trump’s claims about the Carroll interview.

A CNN spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
