As the calendar turns to a new year, George R.R. Martin fans across the globe can’t help but wonder: will 2025 be the year The Winds of Winter is finally released? Given the author’s most recent non-updates, it’s difficult to say. But you can count on two definite dispatches from Westeros this year: new HBO series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and this stunning Folio Society edition of Martin’s House of the Dragon source material, Targaryen history Fire and Blood.

Coming to shelves January 28, and featuring illustrations by Audrey Benjaminsen, this 616-page Game of Thrones prequel will set you back $150, which is actually on the more wallet-friendly end of the Folio Society’s offerings. And if you’re a Targaryen fan, this edition of Fire and Blood would make a handsome addition to your collection.
