Some records seem eternal. That of FC Barcelona Guardiola version in 2011/12 is one of them: 190 goals scored in all competitions, an ever equaled performance. At the time, a Lionel Messi in a state of grace encroached 73 achievements, including 50 in liga, winning the Golden Soulier and the Pichichi Trophy in passing.
Since then, no team has managed to approach this figure. Only RB Salzburg (181 goals in 2013/14) and Ajax Amsterdam (179 goals in 2018/19) approached it. Even Real Madrid of Mourinho, however formidable offensive, had to be satisfied with 175 goals during this same 2011/12 season. But today, Barça de Flick seems ready to take up this insane challenge.
Barça 2024: a fire attack
With 132 goals in 43 games and an impressive average of 3.06 goals per game, the Blaugranas display an offensive power which recalls the biggest hours of the club.
The undisputed leader in this attack is none other than Robert Lewandowski, author of 35 goals, including 22 in Liga. It is supported by Raphinha (27 achievements) and Lamine Yamal (13). With another 18 potential games to play, if Barça reaches all the finals, the record seems accessible.

What if Barça did the unthinkable?
190 goals: Mission Impossible?
To match this legendary brand, Barça will have to score 58 additional goals, an average of 3.22 achievements per game. A colossal challenge, but not unrealistic given the current rhythm. By keeping this pace, the Catalans would finish with around 187 goals, bordering on the absolute feat.
However, this scenario is based on a major condition: reaching all the finals. If Barça fails in quarters of the Champions League or missing the King's Cup final, it would only have 14 games left, which would greatly complicate the objective of the 190 goals.
Another record in the viewfinder: La Liga
Can Barça also break the Liga goals record over a season? Currently, Real Madrid of 2011/12 holds the historic brand with 121 goals.
Flick's men already have 75 goals in 27 days, an average of 2.77 goals per game. To dethrone the Madrilenians, they would have to write 46 goals in the last 11 games. An ambitious objective, but not impossible for this team that continues to surprise.
Verdict at the end of the season
The Barça de Flick is launched in a race against history. Will he manage to bring down these records which seemed unattainable? One thing is certain: the end of the season promises to be spectacular.
