‘This was extremely disrespectful to Christians’ – Outrage as Olympics mocks Christianity

The organizers of the 2024 Paris Olympics which kicked off on Friday, 26th July has been accused of ridiculing Christianity with the feature of drag queens posing for a scene similar to the Leonardo da Vinci masterpiece showing Jesus and his disciples sharing their last passover meal before his betrayal, trial and crucifixion on the cross.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the Olympics opening featured the procession of athletes, the lighting of the Olympic torch  and a replication of “The Last Supper” performed by drag queens.

The tableau decpict a woman at the center, rocking a halo crown and holding her hands in a heart shape. She was flanked by drag queens in exaggerated female costumes, as well as one child.

The display have elicited angry reactions from christians all of the world condemning the outright disrespect to the religion.

Elon Musk, owner of X, said: “This was extremely disrespectful to Christians.”

“As you all can see, we are living in the endtimes. Things are no longer the way they used to be. The devil is working overtime to make sure many don’t make Heaven. Make sure you are right with God before it’s too late” said Emeka, a Nigerian on X.

 August Pfluger wrote on X,  “Olympics are supposed to be a time of mutual respect and a reason to come together from around the world

“It is unacceptable that the opening ceremony mocked Christianity and the Last Supper and included a child in a drag queen performance,” he said.
