Starting this Saturday during the meeting between Cologne and Dortmund, Thomas Meunier was hit in the head by… chocolates. Just after the opening score of Julian Brandt (12th) for Dortmund, the meeting was in fact interrupted by supporters annoyed by the actions carried out by the DFL (German federation) in recent weeks to encourage the arrival of an investor stranger.
To show their indignation, fans of both teams threw chocolate coins onto the pitch, as had already been the case in December during the meeting between Bochum and Hoffenheim. When picking one up on the field, Thomas Meunier was hit in the head as reported BILD. Although he reflexively touched his head at the start, the Belgian immediately reassured himself and resumed his place on the field.
