There will be a managerial merry-go-round in the summer with several top clubs in Europe set to change their coaches.
Barcelona will need to replace Xavi Hernandez, with the manager announcing his decision to leave while Bayern Munich and Liverpool are also looking for new head coaches with Thomas Tuchel and Jurgen Klopp, respectively, departing in the summer.
Beyond that, both Manchester United and Chelsea might also be on the lookout for new managers with Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino, respectively, struggling to produce the desired results.
Thomas Tuchel wants to manage Barcelona
Amidst all this, Thomas Tuchel has emerged as one of the contenders to replace Xavi at Barcelona at the end of the season.
The German tactician will leave Bayern after what has been a disappointing campaign thus far for them with the Bundesliga title likely to slip out of their hands.
And, journalist Florian Plettenberg is reporting that Tuchel wants to coach Barcelona someday in his career.
It has been previously reported that the former Chelsea manager has always admired the Barça ways and the club’s La Masia academy. And as such, he would be open to taking the job at the Catalan club once Xavi leaves.
In fact, it has even been reported that Tuchel has offered himself to the Blaugrana ahead of the summer.
Chelsea return not ruled out
At the same time, though, one of Tuchel’s short-term desire is to return to the Premier League, reports Plettenberg.
Having managed Chelsea in the past, the German tactician believes that his time in the Premier League is not complete.
In fact, the report states that the current Bayern Munich boss is not ruling out a return to Chelsea and has always had the club in his sights despite how he was removed in 2022.
At the same time, the Manchester United job also appeals to the manager. So, it remains to be seen where Tuchel ends up in the months to come.
