Racism has plagued Spanish football for a long time. In recent years, we have even noticed an increase in racist acts inside Iberian football venues. Major meetings are not spared. While Vinicius is often targeted by Spanish stadiums, racist insults against several Barça players took place during the last Clasico at the Santiago-Bernabeu stadium.

Scandalous acts which were taken up by the courts. Indeed, the Spanish police affirmed on their social networks that three people behind the racist insults against several Barça players were identified and arrested this Saturday. According to the police post, these individuals have already “led xenophobic demonstrations undermining the dignity and moral integrity of the two footballers”.
