As Barcelona continue their squad reshuffle, the departures of Ilkay Gundogan and Vitor Roque have highlighted the club’s need to streamline the roster amidst financial adversities.

However, the exits don’t stop there. With the summer transfer window still open, several other players are poised to leave as the Catalan giants look to balance the books and create a more balanced squad.

Mika Faye and Clement Lenglet are already on their way out after Gundogan and Roque, and more could follow.

Here are three players who could still leave Barcelona before the transfer window slams shut.

Ansu Fati

Once hailed as the heir to Lionel Messi, Ansu Fati’s future at Barcelona is shrouded in uncertainty

Injuries have severely hampered his development over the past, and despite showing flashes of his immense potential, the young forward has struggled to regain his pre-injury form.

Barcelona’s need to generate funds and reduce their wage bill could lead to Ansu’s departure, especially with a few clubs expressing interest, including Sevilla and Fenerbahce.

Moreover, the potential arrival of a new winger and the continued presence of other attacking talents will further limit his opportunities this season.

A move away from Barcelona could provide him with the regular playing time he needs to rediscover his form and fulfil the promise he once showed.

Pablo Torre, a promising midfielder, has found himself on the fringes of Barcelona’s first team. While he has shown glimpses of his talent during pre-season, the youngster is likely to struggle to break into the starting lineup consistently.

Moreover, the competition in Barcelona’s midfield is fierce, with established stars like Pedri, Fermin Lopez, and new signing Dani Olmo ahead of him in the pecking order. The situation could get even more difficult once Gavi and Frenkie de Jong return from injury.

Given his age and potential, Torre is a prime candidate for a loan move. Like last season, a temporary exit would allow him to gain valuable experience and regular playing time, which are crucial for his development.

Eric Garcia

Eric Garcia’s return to Barcelona from Girona has been much-celebrated amid the injury crises. However, his stint at the club has come with major uncertainties.

At present, Barcelona are looking to explore exit options for several players and as reported before, Girona are pushing for his acquisition. Furthermore, even the player is not ruling out the exit.

The centre-back understands the competition for a first-team place and a move to Girona would mean he will retain his position without much of a hustle.

Guaranteed exits: Mikayil Faye and Clement Lenglet

In addition to the players listed above, Barcelona are also expected to part ways with Mikayil Faye and Clement Lenglet.

Faye, a young defender who has struggled to break into the first team, is set for a move away, with several teams vying for his signature

Meanwhile, Lenglet, who spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, is also on his way out. With Barcelona actively trying to offload him, the French defender is reportedly close to securing a permanent move away.

As Barcelona continue to reshape their squad, these departures will be crucial in ensuring the club can operate within its financial constraints while maintaining a competitive edge on the pitch.
