Thunder Rosa denies a recent report that she had been cleared to return to the ring.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion has not wrestled since the August 31 episode of AEW Collision. There, she competed in a four-way match against Hikaru Shida, Serena Deeb, and Queen Aminata. She subsequently announced that she had suffered a concussion, and she would be out for a few weeks. On September 27, Dave Meltzer wrote that Rosa had been cleared when he commented on her status in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
In a tweet, Thunder Rosa responded to the report and said that she had not been cleared.
“Stop lying about my health. I’m not cleared and when I am I will announce it,” she wrote. “I reserve the right to divulge my medical status. If you need information ask me directly or my team.”
