Liverpool FC have announced the imminent arrival of their new coach for next season.
A new chapter is opening for Liverpool. The English club formalized this Tuesday the appointment of Arne Slot as coach. The Dutch technician will take up his duties on June 1, subject to a work permit, to succeed Jürgen Klopp, who is ending his nine-year adventure in Mersey.
Slot, who has signed up for three seasons with the Reds, will have the difficult task of taking over the reins of the Liverpool team, which has once again become a reference in world football under the leadership of Klopp.
An encouraging journey
With his experience as assistant coach and manager of SC Cambuur (Dutch second division) and AZ Alkmaar, the former FC Zwolle midfielder has shone in recent years with Feyenoord. Under his leadership, the Rotterdam club won the Eredivisie champion title in 2023 and the Dutch Cup in 2024.
The 45-year-old coach therefore arrives at Anfield with a promising pedigree, but he will face a major challenge: succeeding one of the greatest coaches in the club’s history and keeping the team at the top of world football.
