Returning from an ankle scare with the Portugal Espoirs, the 22-year-old Portuguese full-back cut his session short due to intense knee pain. According to LePetitLillois, the club fears a rupture of the cruciate ligament, an injury which would end its season.

This injury comes after an impressive start to the season for Santos under the orders of Bruno Genesio. According to the latest information, he will have to undergo surgery and begin a long rehabilitation.
