Fans without valid tickets have been warned by police to stay away from The City Ground for tonight’s match between Nottingham Forest and Manchester United.
The two Premier League clubs meet in the FA Cup fifth-round tonight, with a player in the quarter-final up for grabs.
United fans are required to produce physical paper tickets before admission to a controlled area before they reach the turnstiles.
Clive Collings, match commander for Nottinghamshire Police, said (via BBC): “The message for those proposing to travel to this fixture without a valid match ticket is clear – don’t.
“You will not be allowed access to the stadium and your journey will be wasted.
“The safety of those attending this – and every other – game at the City Ground, is a paramount importance to bothy Nottingham Forest and Nottinghamshire Police.”
