Tiger Woods is at home recovering after an injury. The 49-year-old PGA Tour champion revealed on Tuesday (March 11) that he has suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and had to undergo surgery. This means that the golfer will not be able to participate in the upcoming 2025 Masters Tournament next month. Keep reading to find out more… “As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured,” Tiger shared on Instagram. “This morning, Dr. Charlton Stucken of Hospital for Special Surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida performed a minimally-invasive Achilles tendon repair for a ruptured tendon.” He added a quote from the doctor, “The surgery went smoothly, and we expect a full recovery.” Tiger concluded his post, “I am back home now and plan to focus on my recovery and rehab, thank you for all the support.” Last year, two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer also had an Achilles tendon tear, and he was out for three months! At the 2024 Masters, Tiger set the tournament record by making the cut for the 24th time in a row.
