Tituss Burgess is heading back to Broadway! The six-time Emmy-nominated actor, best known for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, is going to play Mary Todd Lincoln in the hit play Oh, Mary! for a limited three-week engagement. “Oh, Mary! blew me away when I saw it on Broadway. Cole Escola is a genius!” Tituss said in a statement. “The show is fresh and impossibly funny. I understand the role of Mary Todd Lincoln maybe a little too well. I’m over the moon with joy that I get to join the company at The Lyceum Theatre.” Keep reading to find out more… Cole Escola originated the role of Mary in the play that they also wrote. Betty Gilpin is currently starring as Mary and Tituss will take over on March 18 after she departs the show.
