Vince McMahon, a controversial figure in wrestling, is currently facing trafficking allegations, leading to widespread debate. Despite the accusations, the TKO COO has confirmed his continued involvement in the company.
Vince McMahon was hit with serious allegations of sexual trafficking and misconduct from ex-WWE employee Janel Grant. The lawsuit alleged that McMahon shared explicit content of Grant without consent, involving other WWE employees, unnamed executives, and stars, and directed her to engage in sexual activities with them.
After the sexual trafficking lawsuit, Vince McMahon officially resigned from WWE and TKO Holdings. McMahon has been selling off his TKO stock in recent months, including a recent transaction on Monday where he sold 5,350,000 TKO shares, totaling $412 million. In a previous sale in November, he garnered $612 million. Despite these sales, he retains ownership of approximately 15 million shares, constituting about 9% of all TKO stock.
TKO COO Mark Shapiro addressed Vince McMahon’s status during a talk at the Morgan Stanley Conference, emphasizing that McMahon is no longer involved with the company and has no plans to return.
”He doesn’t work for the company. He doesn’t work at the company … and he’s not coming back to the company.”
McMahon also made it clear that he would fight the aforementioned allegations while denying the said allegations. Vince McMahon has also been removed from WWE following the lawsuit. We’ll have to see what will happen to McMahon in the end.
